Fireworks!!

This was our first year to view the fireworks with Emma. Last year we decided to skip the festivities because she was too young and would not be able to stay awake. Instead Andy and I watched them from our balcony as Emma slept. So this year we decided to go for it and keep the little one awake for the action. We were so glad we did it too. Emma LOVED the fireworks!! She kept laughing and doing the sign for more. It was awesome.

Happy 4th of July. No red, white, and blue for us b/c I completely forgot to buy something. Instead we wore our Luckenbach shirt to support an old Willie Nelson 4th of July tradition.

Playing catch with grandpa.

Is it soccer season yet?

Where there are bubbles Emma will find them. Thanks to the sweet girls that let Emma play with their bubble machine.

Fireworks time!! Emma loved asking for more.

Mr. Mom

On Friday, Andy had the day off from work so he decided to give me the day off. Always a sweetie!! My mom and I decided to take advantage of the day and head to the outlet mall in San Marcos. It was very nice being able to hang out with just my mom and have a break from being mom. Though I was calling home often to check in on my sweet girl that I was missing.

Mom come back!

Andy took Emma grocery shopping and he claims that this is what she picked out =)

Oh mom never lets me have this. Can I have it please?

Good Times in Colorado

Wow what a fabulous trip!! Have I mentioned before that I want to move to Colorado?! Well this trip just made me want to move there even more. We started off bright and early Thursday and had four jam packed days full of fun and relaxation. Our days consisted of going to the park, the pool, the Denver Zoo, and celebrating Nolan's baptism.

Swinging at the park. Do you think Andy can handle two?

When at Cheesecake Factory one must eat yummy cheesecake.

Andy took this picture and he is very proud of it. What a cutie!

Emma and Nolan ready for the zoo!

Don't forget your safari hats!

Me and Emma on the train at the zoo. It was a nice ending to a busy day looking at animals.

Breakfast time with cousin Kate.

Nolan's baptism. He was a champ through it all. I am excited to be his godmother along with Rebecca's sister, Beth.

After the baptism we had a celebration dinner at a restuarant near the river walk in Rebecca's hometown. Emma loved playing by the water.

Come on Emma lets get out of here!

Emma and Kate giving kisses.

And hugs!

During the trip Emma refused to sleep in her pack n' play. She would cry very loudly that we were worried about disturbing the other people in the hotel. So Emma got to sleep in a big person bed for the first time. She slept between Andy and I on a king size bed but with all the room I some how ended up being a on the very edge. I think she is a bed hog.

Kate enjoying her b-day gift from Emma. She is in love with this tent.

Warming up at Kate's pool. It felt cold when you got of the water b/c it is not in the 100's there.

We made it back home after a wonderful trip. When do we go back?

While we were on our trip we were sad to hear that Michael Jackson passed away. As a tribute to him Andy sang one of his Jackson 5 songs to Emma and Emma tried to sing along. Her singing along takes place in the first 10 seconds. The rest of the time we are trying to get her to sing some more but she was done.

Happy...

18 Months, Father's Day, and Birthday Andy! Wow what a busy weekend of celebrations for us. Also a birthday shout out to my favorite niece, Kate!

Emma trying to get into her goldfish snack container. She LOVES goldfish. I think if she could survive on them alone she would.

Emma running into the pool. Soon the lifeguards are going to blow the whistle at her and tell her "no running." I wonder if she will listen?

Emma is not a big fan of t.v. but anytime Elmo comes on she runs to the t.v. to watch for a few seconds. It is very cute and provides nice entertainment early in the morning when I am not fully awake.

Lately Emma enjoys opening and closing things. Whenever I have the dishwasher open she quickly comes over and tries to close it up. I want to believe she is wanting to help so that when she is older she can assist with the chore.

Emma enjoying one of her favorite activities...reading. She loves to pick out a book and climb into our laps for story time. Oh I just love it and find it to be the cutest thing!

Emma with the best daddy in the whole world!! Thanks Andy for always being a great father to our special little girl. We are both very blessed to have you!! Enjoy your special day because you deserve it =)

Andy enjoying his first of two birthday cakes. He turned the big 30 (plus 2)!

A New Car

Andy and I decided it was time to get a new car. We were not looking to replace our existing cars but instead add to it. After searching around we decided a small red car to run around town in would be best. Nothing fancy. Just something to have fun with. Well really something for Emma to have fun with =)

Are you ready to see it!! Scroll down a little more =)

Taa daa!

Emma enjoying her new ride. So fancy!

Checking out the horn. Beep beep!

Popping a wheelie. Dangerous =)

Make A Wish

On Saturday night we went to dinner at CPK. After dinner, Emma was admiring the fountain/pond outside of the restaurant. Emma's grandma gave her a penny to throw into the water to make a wish. Here is how it all went down...

Andy pointing out where you throw the penny.

You put your arm back like this...

And throw...only lets aim for the water instead of the stones.

Agh...this is more difficult than it looks.

She shoots and she scores! Emma made her first wish!!
There was a little boy behind Andy that was very interested in watching Emma throw the penny in.
