Becoming a Toddler

Lately we have discovered that if we take our eyes off of Emma for a moment she manages to get into something or some how she climbs on something that makes us wonder "how did she do that!" Her latest quest is probably the best so far. The other day we were in her playroom and while I was putting away her tunnel I thought she was quietly playing at her kitchen. Well she was certainly playing in her kitchen but in a whole new manner.

She did all of this to get to her condiments I had put in the top cabinet. I did not even know she knew they were there.

Reunited at Last!

After about a month and a half away from gymnastics, Emma was finally able to reunite with an activity she loves! I was so thrilled to take her so she could run, bounce, and balance. Hopefully with the new year we will be able to go more often. It is some times difficult since speech therapy is typically on Fridays. We are trying to change that so Emma can take part in one of her favorite hobbies.

My Little Criminal

Sundays are typically set aside for our weekly grocery trip and this Sunday was a typical one expect for one minor infraction. When we go to the store we always start in the produce department. This is Emma's favorite area b/c after we bag our apples she gets to hold them in her lap. For some reason she loves to hold the apples. Usually half way through our shopping trip she gives the apples back to be placed in the big portion of the cart. Well this Sunday she wanted to hold onto them for the whole trip. While checking out I completely forgot she had the apples. We were all checked out and the gentleman bagging our groceries was putting the last bag in our cart and he looked over at Emma's lap and said you have some apples there that need to be checked out. Oh I was embarrassed in a funny way and just blamed it on the cute kid!

What?! I didn't do it!

Ok, sorry it was all me!

Quiet Days

I know I have not posted in awhile but since the holidays are over things are pretty quiet around here. Emma has mainly been enjoying her new toys and Andy and I have been figuring out how to organize all of them. I sometimes think we need a bigger home but then I think of the maintenance of a larger home and change my mind.

It has been very cold here so it has been hard to be outside. Thankfully Emma has not gone stir crazy yet. I have included some cute pics of her from the last few weeks.

Cousins

This holiday season we were blessed to spend some quality time with Emma's cousins, Kate and Nolan. It is always a treat to be with them since they live all the way in Colorado. We miss them when we are away from them, but love taking advantage of our time with them when we are all together. It was great that they were able to be here for over a week this year. We tried to spend all of our waking time with each other. It is very important for me to have Emma be close with her cousins. They can all share in many memories together.

Here are a few photos from the their trip to Texas. We miss you Kate and Nolan and of course Nate and Rebecca too!

All of us at Emma's birthday dinner.

We were trying to get Emma to watch Nolan eat because he is such a good eater.

Come on Emma lets drive out of here!
