Colorado Trip Day 1: Happy Birthday Kate

The 5th day of our trip was pretty much consumed with traveling to Colorado. Thankfully we made it in time to celebrate Kate's 5th birthday. The kids loved being reunited, which I just love seeing. Cousin time is one of my favorite times. Not much pics for this post b/c I was so tired from all our traveling and the big camera was packed away.

The happy kiddos hanging out at the cabin my parents rented.

The birthday girl with her birthday sundae.

And this beautiful girl turned 4 1/2.

Cali Trip Day 4: Santa Monica Pier

On our last day in Cali we met up with my best dude, Elizabeth. The girls were super excited to spend a day with her. Liz lives close to the Santa Monica Pier and we thought it would be fun to take the kids to see the ocean.

First we took Goldie for a good walk so she wouldn't miss us while we where at the pier. The girls loved helping Liz walk her.

We stopped off at this adorable park to do some duck watching.

Santa Monica Beach

Some pics from the pier.

The girls loved looking out at the water.

We decided to check out some rides at the pier.

Abby was required to have an adult with her and I love how Andy and Liz took one for the team. Pregnant ladies were not allowed on any of the rides.

I think he was getting bored b/c I caught him mid yawn.

Some toes in the sand.

Some cold water for the feet. Emma loved the water and Abby was not a big fan. Hope they enjoy it when we take them later this month to the beach.

Before we departed we needed some more time with Goldie. These girls love Goldie. They are always talking about her and wanting to see her picture. They even made up a song for Goldie.

California was grand and we tried to squeeze in as much fun as we could. We were so thankful for all the time we got to spend with our loved ones. Stay tune for all our Colorado fun!

Cali Trip Day 3: Descanso Gardens

On our third day we went and checked out Descanso Gardens. It was such a beautiful place. The flowers were amazing, along with the water features. Emma went on a hunt for all the water features.

At the beginning.

She could have stayed here all day looking at the waterfall.

In the rose garden.

Bird watching.

A little hip shacking before we left.

Since it was our last night in Pasadena I had to drive by the Rose Bowl. I have always wanted to see it.

Cali Trip Day 2: Science Museum & The Grove

One of the perks of our trip to Cali was not only meeting baby Rosa but getting to see Andy's aunt Lori and Uncle Peter. We had not seen them since Emma was 6 months old. It was so nice having family to go explore L.A. with.

The first place we went to on day two was the Science Museum. Can you spot Andy all the way on the right trying to lift the red truck on the left. He was able to do it. I guess the gym is paying off.

Checking out the mist.

Playing some music with Lori.

The two IBMers were trying to figure out how to make an arch.

Abby flying the space shuttle.

Attempting to be News Anchors.

After the museum we headed to The Grove/Farmer's Market for lunch. This was place was insane but we had fun exploring.

I had to try Pinkberry while we were there. Oh my gosh it was so good.

It was warm and someone needed a water break.

We ended the day with a little snuggle time with Rosa.

Cali Trip Day 1: Pasadena Chalk Festival

Our 9 family vacation took us to California and Colorado to meet our beautiful new nieces. When we arrived in Pasadena, they were holding their annual Chalk Festival. The art was truly amazing and at times hard to believe it was created with chalk.

This lady was amazing and she took first place. It was by far my favorite.

How cute is this? I hope she said yes!

The girls had an opportunity to color with chalk.

A family picture at the end of the day.
