Emma had her first day of school today at her new school. We decided to change schools because her original school only had two girls out of 13 kids in it. Emma spent the first part of the day as the only girl and then the second part of her day she was with one other girl. Andy and I really did not like the uneven balance of the classroom. Emma thrives on attention from older girls, so we knew we needed to make a change. Thankfully the school that is closer to us, that still has ELE, has a program with 4 girls and 2 boys. It was a perfect fit for us and one of the girls is our neighbor. We were slightly nervous about changing her but we are so glad we did. Emma had a great first day and even talked about another girl in the class that likes cars. It is a perfect fit! I also love her new teachers and all the creative ideas they have. I am so excited for Emma's school year and can't wait to see how she develops with her social skills.
Here are few pics of her before going to her classroom. I swear you could not pay this kid to look at the camera. She is too distracted by all the cars and kids. She has some serious people watching skills.
