My Little Swimmer

Emma has been doing a fantastic job in swim lessons and she has really caught onto what they are teaching her. Here is a short video of her showing us her swimming skills. So proud!!

Off To Work They Go!

Every year Andy's work hosts Take Your Kids to Work Day. We of course never pass up the opportunity to go visit Andy at work. The girls got a kick out of being with their daddy and seeing where he goes Monday through Friday. 

Off to work they go.

The biggest attraction for the kids is walking across the reflection pond. Though Emma kept calling it the otter pond.

We're in trouble

As most parents know whatever the oldest does the second is quick to copy. From somewhere Emma has learned the phrase "shush your mouth" when she does not want to hear what someone has to say. We are trying to teach her not to say that. Well sure enough Abby now says it, too. I took a video of her saying for the first time b/c it was too funny but now we are also trying to teach her to not say it.

Texas State Aquarium

On our last day we decided to go check out the Texas State Aquarium. The girls loved seeing all the fish and watching the dolphin show. I found it so relaxing to just watch some of the fish. Abby and I could have stayed there all day but Emma kept us moving because she was always curious to know what was next.

A Little Putt-Putt

While on our beach trip we decided to try putt-putt golf. Emma was super excited b/c she has recently developed a love for professional golf. She was ready to try her hand at the game. Andy and I thought we would be able to keep score and see who was the better golfer between us but throughout the game their were these mini ball thieves that kept us from being able to play properly. 

Our Beach Getaway

First off, this is my 500th blog post. Can't believe over time I have found 500 things to blog about and there is still more to come. Love that the kids have their lives documented in a fun way.

We had a mini beach trip over the weekend to North Padre Island. All of us had a great time soaking up the sun and ocean. It was very peaceful and relaxing. The kids absolutely loved the water and could have stayed in it all day. We definitely look forward to more trips like this in our future.

For the most part I really did not take too many pictures. I was busy enjoying the kids and the beach.

And she is off. I think if we would have let her she would have swam all the way to Florida. Emma never wanted out of the water.
