Sweet Berry Farms Field Trip

This past Friday Emma's class headed out to Sweet Berry Farms for their field trip. Abby and I were so happy to tag along for the fun. Leading up to the field trip Emma was very excited to pick strawberries and ride the bus. On the morning of the field trip things took a turn. She did not want to ride the bus and when we got to the farm all she wanted to do was sit in the stroller. A few of the activities perked her up but for the most part she just wanted to go home. It was not until we got home that I discovered she was running a fever. No wonder she was not having anything to do with it but if you ask her if she had fun she will tell you YES!

My little ladies gearing up for the fun.

Meeting and feeding the goats. Abby loved the goats. It was by far the greatest thing for her.

The class brought along ladybugs to release into the fields. Sorry, not the best pics of this but all I had was the phone camera.

Time for the strawberry picking. My favorite. I find it very relaxing.

Before we left Abby had to go visit the goats. Did I mentioned that she loved them!

Accessories

The girls like to jazz things up a bit and take control of their own accessorizing.

Abby decided her shirt needed to be decorated with stickers. I guess her pink shirt was too plain without them.

Who needs just a hair clip when you can also stick play-doh in your hair. It is the latest hair trend.

Emma loves to wear these awesome big girl glasses. She looks too cute!

When going through my pictures on the iPad, I discovered this. I have no idea how Emma found it or saved it but I am guessing she is trying to give me a hint on what new backpack she wants.

Our Third Baby

We are so blessed to be having another baby. I feel like I am more cautious with this pregnancy then with my last two. It stems from finding out about Emma's heart issue while pregnant and hearing an irregular heart beat with Abby at 32 weeks. I feel like the minute I let my guard down someone is going  to give me bad news. It is not a feeling I like and I wish it would pass but it probably will not until this sweet baby is in my arms. At times I still feel like I have a hard time sharing the news, not because I am not happy but because I am worried something could go wrong. I will still try and pick out clothes that hide my bump but that is becoming difficult. I do want people to see me as a pregnant lady and be happy for us. I am just trying to let myself get to that point. I love the idea of planning for this little one and creating a special room for him or her. So far our ultrasounds have looked great. At 16 weeks they were able to get a good picture of the heart and it looks wonderful. All four chambers are established! We will go back at 20 weeks and I hope we get nothing but great news. I pray that all my appointments are uneventful and that this child never has to see a specialist of any kind.

16 Weeks...What!

That's right I am sixteen weeks pregnant. Hard to believe at times. We are excited and nervous about having three kids. Andy and I have always wanted a family of five and felt like it was the right time for us. Our due date is Oct. 3rd and we are not finding out the gender. I am very excited for the surprise. If it is a girl we will be prepared and if it is boy then we have some shopping to do.

The first 12 weeks were rough on me. I felt sick everyday, all day. It gradually got better in the morning and then would hit in the afternoons. I never had that with my first two so it was a slight shock. Thankfully the sickness is gone but the tiredness is really showing up. It is very hard for me to stay energized in the afternoons and evenings. I try to drink tons of water, eat a snack, exercise, and if I am lucky take a nap but nothing works. I am pretty much ready to pass out as soon as I can. Thankfully Andy is a huge help with the kids and at times dinner.

This pregnancy is already flying by and I want to cherish it since we don't plan to have any more kids.

Here I am at 8 weeks.

12 weeks.

16 weeks.

In the future I need to get Andy to take the pics b/c I don't like having a camera in the my face. Kind of weird to me. I do think Abby gets a kick out of it.

Fun with Yaya and Grandpa

Andy's parents came for long weekend visit and the girls had the time of their life. All the endless attention and fun was something they could not get enough of. We had a great time doing many things and tried to capture tons of pics.

Playing at Zilker.

Taking a ride on the train. This was all Emma could talk about.
A little dancing before a yummy dinner at Home Slice.
Dr. Abby was on call for the day.

Playing some board games while it was raining.
Doing a little shopping at Nordstroms.
Someone got their first pair of TOMS. I was so excited!
Dinner at the Domain.
Playing some ball.
Enjoying a yummy Hey Cupcake.

Playing at the spider web park.

Someone is stuck in the web.
We all had a wonderful visit and I know I loved all the help.

Chitter chatter

These girls are obsessed with talking on the phone. They love talking with anyone who will listen, usually Gammie. The hardest part is having to say good bye. Tears are often shed. Makes me wonder what our future phone bill will look like!

Manners

Abby has really picked up on saying thank you, your welcome, and sorry. It is so cute that I had to capture it in a video. In the video I am prompting her but she typically will thank someone when they give her something or she gives them something. It is too precious. I just don't want the sweetness to ever end. Oh and in the background you will notice my sick child. Poor Emma is having a hard time getting over a bug.

All Our Easter Fun

We had a few days of Easter fun and I have rolled into one big blog post.

To start things off, Emma's class had an egg hunt. Gammie, Abby, and I went to watch all the fun. Emma loved hunting for eggs but got easily distracted by her surroundings, like the playscape.

My little hunter.
Abby wanted in on the fun.

On Friday, we hosted an egg hunt and party for our neighborhood friends. Every year I find myself hosting an egg hunt but the hunters seem to change from year to year. I am hoping I can start a tradition with the neighborhood group because it is a fun time to come together.

The big kids are ready to hunt. We had a separate hunt for the babies and toddlers. You will notice Abby is not in attendance. She woke up from her nap that day with a fever. She spent some quality time with Gammie and Papa.
Emma on her hunt.

Making sure the egg says her name. Each kids had to hunt for eggs with their name on it.
On Saturday, we headed over to my parent's neighborhood for their annual Easter Festival.

Emma on the choo-choo. Her favorite thing of the whole festival.
Abby getting to try out the hunt. Gammie helped her find some eggs.
For Abby she just wanted to know what was inside but did not care to gather as many as she could.
Me and Emma.

A family picture.

On Sunday, we went to church and spent the day at my parent's house eating yummy food and hunting for Easter baskets.

My beautiful girls.

Someone was excited to find a basket.

Emma was loving her goodies.
A chocolate bunny that is all mine!
Excited about her new water bottle.
This girl was thrilled to get a scooter.

Loving her new big bouncy ball.
Happy Easter from our family to yours!
