I just want to share with everyone how happy I am to have my little Emma. After watching Oprah the other day and crying my eyes out over all the miracle babies she talked about I just hugged Emma so tightly and thanked God for blessing me with her. She is my miracle! Even though we have had a tough start I could not imagine it any other way. So with all that said life is good!

Fun Filled Weekend!
We had a busy weekend between our community fall festival and Emma's friend Annie's 1st birthday party. Each party was filled with good times. Emma was worn out by the end of the weekend.

Emma trying to be a cowboy. I do not think she cared for the sun in her eyes. Where is that cowboy hat to protect her eyes?

Emma all bundled up to go on a morning run. She is such a trooper to put up with it. Thank you Emma!

Running Through Sprinklers
Now I did not create my blog to be a platform for my frustrations but today I must vent. While going on my morning run with Emma I noticed that tons of people were running their spinklers. I have nothing against spinkler systems, I mean we have one but people seem to be spraying their water onto my running path. Now I do not mind running through a sprinkler but I do mind my daughter getting wet and trying to navigate a big running stroller around it. People it is not easy. Oh well it will not keep me from running.
I did add a new song onto the blog b/c I think it is a great inspirational song. Melissa Etheridge wrote this song while she battled breast cancer. I do not believe it is just about cancer. I believe it is about anyone who has ever had to battle their way to stay alive. It reminds me of why I run. I run for my daughter, who was born with a failing heart and survived bypass heart surgery. I run for my grandmother who lost her life to cancer. I run for my other grandmother who is continuing to beat the odds against ovarian cancer. I run for my bestfriend's Mimi who is kicking breast cancer in the butt. So if you need motivation today then listen to this song.
Peace out everyone and enjoy this day and everyday =)

Happy Birthday Elizabeth!
Today is one of Emma's favorite auntie's birthday. So in honor of auntie Elizabeth, Emma is sporting her Bon Jovi outfit that she received from Elizabeth. Elizabeth cannot wait until she can take Emma to a concert and they can rock out together. "Shot to the heart and your to blame. Baby you give love a bad name." That is the only lyric I know. Please don't hate my Liz.

Pumpkin Patch
Emma and her friend Kenzie had an impromptu photo shoot at a local pumpkin patch. It was hysterical watching the girls. We had a fabulous time or at least the moms did. Emma was very tired since she decided not to sleep that morning.

Oh lovely pumpkins!

Emma admiring Kenzie's hair clip. It looks tasty.

Shh! I found my happy place.

Emma and Kenzie stuck in the land of pumpkins.

Mystery Solved!
The hair clip has been found! It some how broke into two parts during its journey through Emma's body but thank goodness it is out.

Tasty Hair Clips
Well we have had some excitement around the Solomon household. Yesterday during nap time I forgot to take out Emma's cute hair clip. When I went to get her up from her nap I noticed it missing. Andy and I tore apart her crib and room looking for it. I was determined that she swallowed it. We then called the doctor's office and since she was not showing any signs of discomfort they said we could wait and have an x-ray in the morning. So this morning we went for our x-ray and found the hair clip. It is moving nicely through her body and we just need to keep an eye out for it. Now I am sure you are wondering how Emma is doing and she is great. This is not bothering her one bit. I on the other hand went from being concerned to laughing since the x-ray tech said they have had 2 hair clips and 1 coin show up this week. I guess we are not alone.

The Solomon's Came to Town
Emma with her grandparents on their last night.
We had dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. Emma chose to chew on her monkey instead of dining on cheesecake. She missed out on a good thing but don't tell her that.
Emma hanging out with Andy's parents.
Emma had dinner at the County Line with all her grandparents. I am not sure who liked the ribs more, Emma or her grandfathers.
Emma's new jumperoo. A gift from her grandparents. She loves this new toy. Thank you!!
Andy's parents came in for the weekend to spend some quality time with little Emma. It was a nice relaxing weekend for everyone. Emma enjoyed hanging out with her grandparents. She is now wondering where her entertainment went. They did a great job making her smile and laugh.

Girl's night out!

The neighborhood ladies had their monthly girl's night out. We had a great time sipping beverages and eating tex-mex at the Oasis. It is a beautiful place to watch the sunset. I am pictured with a few of the ladies and there were 12 of us total. I certainly enjoy my nights out and am thankful that Andy is very supportive of me getting out of the house.

First kiss!
Emma has been spoiled with kisses from day one but today she decided to return the favor. That is right I got my first kiss from Emma. I was so excited I almost cried.

Boo to you!
Miss Emma said another new word last night. Her new word of choice besides dada is boo. It was very cute watching her say boo while she was eating her dinner.
