House of Fun!

Lately I have been bad about blogging. Emma has been busy as usual. We have mainly been busy with good friends!! That is something we always enjoy. No matter how often we see our pals we can never see enough of them.

Lunch with the Cows

We enjoyed a nice afternoon with some cows and friends yesterday. Mya, Kenzie, and Emma met up to have a picnic lunch in the Arboretum. One of our playgroups scheduled the outing and I have to say we truly enjoyed it. What a great idea! For lunch, Emma dined on turkey and cheese from Thundercloud. She will not eat turkey for anywhere else. It must come from Thundercloud. I told you she was picky! Maybe we should find out who their turkey supplier is?!

16 Months!!

Ok I am not sure when you stop celebrating birthday months but we are going to keep at it while we can. Yesterday Emma turned 16 months!! She is on her way to becoming a toddler. She has already developed some toddler habits like being extremely picky about what she likes and does not like. I think it is pay back for me. I was the same way growing up and lets admit it I am still that way. No matter how picky she is we love her unconditionally and we seem to give in to her cute smile =)

Best Buds

Emma has had a very busy week with her friends. On Tuesday we went to the sand park and had a blast. I took Emma last summer but she was too young to play in the sand. This year she enjoyed feeling the sand with her toes and fingers. On Wednesday, Mya came over to hang out. Emma always enjoys spending time with Mya. She is one her BFFs. Then on Thursday, Mya had us over. All the little ladies enjoyed hanging out and sharing toys.

Happy Easter!

We had a fun filled Easter week and a wonderful Easter Sunday. Emma enjoyed many Easter egg hunts. So many that I think she was tired of hunting when she had one this afternoon. Oh well, I know I had fun at all of them!

One Year!!

Wow, it is hard to believe that it has been one year to the day since Emma had her heart surgery. Looking back on that time reminds me of all we have been through to help Emma become a strong little girl. It is hard to believe that at one time she was hooked up to a feeding pump 20 hours a day and was taking a ton of meds to keep things working inside. What a strong girl she was and is!! Everyday I am so thankful to everyone who helped us and to God for answering our prayers. We love you Emma and thank you for being our little girl!!

Magic Shoes

Ever since Emma received her Stride Rite shoes she has been a woman on a mission to walk! Below is a video of her showing off her new talent. I guess when someone asks us now if she is walking we can officially say yes!!
