Welcome Baby Nolan!

Emma and I headed to Colorado for the birth of baby Nolan. It was an amazing trip!! Baby Nolan came a few days late and arrived on my birthday. Crazy!! Now I have a birthday buddy. I am glad to be sharing my birthday with this special little guy.

Emma had a great time hanging out with her older cousin Kate. In the beginning of the trip I think she was scared of Kate. She would cry every time Kate came near her when she was eating. I am not sure what that was all about. After a few days Emma adjusted and relaxed. We tried to keep the girls busy by going to the park, shopping, and going to the Children's Museum.

Now that we are home I think Emma is trying to be like Kate. She is standing and walking, with the help of her push wagon, and she is drinking from a sippy cup. Yippee! We do miss our family and look forward to our next trip. Maybe I can convince Andy to move there ;)

Swinging at the park with Kate!

Baby Nolan has arrived!

I was a baby hog! He was too cute to put down.

Kate at the museum. She loved going in the pint size lockers.

Good days and not so good news

The past few days we have had wonderful weather. Emma and I have been taking advantage of the great weather and going to the park with friends. It is has been fantastic enjoying some relaxing days with good friends. Thanks Mya, Kenzie, and Annie for joining us at the park!
Today we had a follow up appt with our Ears, Nose, and Throat doctor. He said the fluid in Emma's ears is not going away and not improving. So basically this means Emma is going to have to have surgery to put tubes in her ears. He is going to give us one more month to see if the fluid dissipates but if it doesn't then we have no other option but surgery. It is pretty routine and Emma would be out for only 2 hours but still it is surgery and my heart breaks that Emma is going to have to go under again =(

Miss Cool!

Oh, what a beautiful day!

We have been very fortunate to have fabulous weather the last couple of days so we have been spending our days outside. One of our favorite things to do is have lunch in the park. Emma was very interested in our deli sandwiches that we decided to share with her. To our surprise she loves turkey. I was so excited I headed to the grocery store and got her some of her own deli meat. I went all out and got her the best and then when I gave it to her at home what does she do...she turns it down, repeatedly. I guess it is only tasty when we are at the park.
