Happy Birthday School!

Emma's school celebrated its 30th birthday this past Saturday. They had their pumpkin patch open and the Biscuit Brothers there to sing some songs. Emma had a great time playing with the pumpkins and dancing around. It made for a great Saturday.

Yaya and Grandpa Come to Town

Andy's parents recently came to meet baby Abby and see their favorite Emma. I think both girls were very spoiled with love and attention while they visited.

Here is a pic of Grandpa holding Emma when she was a baby.

At the Arboretum enjoying a wonderful evening. Emma decided this little plaque made a great slide.

We went to Jungle Java one day and Emma loved bumping into Grandpa at the bottom of the slide.

Thanks Yaya and Grandpa for coming to visit!

Skater Girl

Sorry about the bad blogging lately. Life with two certainly keeps us super busy.

The other day we pulled out Emma's new tennis shoes for the fall. It is very hard finding Emma shoes b/c her feet are very narrow. It is a challenge and a whole days adventure when we need to buy some new shoes. Well I discovered a brand that has a few options for Emma that work and that brand is Vans. They are very well known in the skater world. I just love their kid shoes and they go perfectly with the skater/surfing brands I like, like Roxy and Hurley. So here are some pics of Emma rocking her new shoes.

2 Weeks Old

Yesterday Abby turned 2 weeks old. Hard to believe! We went in for her 2 week well check and here are her new numbers:

Weight 8lbs. 8oz.
Length 21.5 inches
Head Cir. 36 cm.

The child is growing and growing well. So far in life she LOVES to eat. I think that is why I am already back in my regular clothes. I sometimes think I am not going to be able to keep up with her. Good thing we have a can of formula in case we need it. When she is hungry she lets you know it. The girl has a very loud voice and if you do not meet her need right away she just gets louder. She also loves to be held and sung to. We are just so in love with this precious little one.

A New School Year

This is kind of two blog posts in one. Emma started preschool and music school in the past two weeks.

Emma started her new school year while we were in the hospital with Abigail. I knew we were going to miss her first day and I was very sad about that. My little girl is growing up so fast that I do not want to miss any special moment. Thankfully I have wonderful parents that took care of it all. They packed her lunch and backpack and took their little granddaughter to school, all the while I sat in the hospital room anxiously waiting to call and find out how she did. Everything went as I expected. Emma did not want my mom to leave and was sad but by the end of the school day you would not have known. She had a great time and continues to have a great time at school. We are so proud of our Emma!

The first day.
Since it was raining like crazy on the first day, Papa made sure his little princess was not going to get wet and dropped her off at the front of the school with Gammie.

On the second day of school, Andy took a pic of Emma with her teacher, Ms. Tonya. Emma was still not sure about being left but has since improved.

On Friday, Emma started her fall music class. I am so excited for classes to be starting again. Emma just loves to sing along, play the instruments, run around, and dance with the scarfs. It is so fun watching her participate in all the activities.

Abby got her own name tag on the first day. I hope she enjoys tagging along to her big sister's class.
