Emma's First Field Trip

On Monday, Emma's class took a field trip to Open My World, a therapeutic riding center. I was so excited to tag along and watch Emma take part in one my favorite school activities. I mean, who doesn't love a field trip! To start the trip off, Emma got to ride on a bus. She has never been on one so she was super excited. Once she was on the bus she was slightly scared but her teacher helped comfort her. I wish I could have seen her on the bus but no parents allowed. I enjoyed a quiet ride in my car with my choice of music.

Can you find Emma in this picture. She is the one raising her hands to the sky. The girl was excited!

One last look at mom to make sure this is ok.

Once we were at the riding center, the class was split into two groups. Emma's group started with the little petting area, where they got to feed the goats and brush the mule.

Brush, brush. Emma loved the activity.

Then she got to pet a bunny
and walk the pony.

Taking a walk around the riding center.

The next big activity was riding a horse. I wasn't sure Emma would be up for this, especially since she was so against it at the Rodeo. After a little convincing and a slight nudge from me, she hopped on and LOVED it.

After all the fun, the kids settled down by learning how to draw a horse. I think Emma's turned out pretty good.
It was such a great field trip and I was so happy to go. Hopefully there will be more field trips in the future. I just think it is a great way to bring the classroom outside.

Gosh she is getting so big! How cool, her first field trip. I love how kids get so excited about the bus. That was my favorite part about field trips with my class. :) Go Emma for being brave and riding the horse!
