2 Years!

2 years ago today Emma underwent open heart surgery. It is hard to believe that it has already been two years! Today while we were eating breakfast together as a family I was thinking about how at breakfast time two years ago she was out of our arms and in the care of the doctors and nurses. I cannot say thank you enough to the wonderful people at Texas Children's. There is not a day that goes by that we do not thank our blessings. We love you Emma and are truly amazed by your strength and spirit. Thank you for being our little girl!!

Emma immediately following surgery. Looking back at these photos brings back tons of emotions. It was very hard to resist holding her. We were thrilled after three days when they let us hold her again. She is such a warrior.
