Abby's First Day of School

Abby had her first day of school today. We had been talking about it for days and she was very excited to go. She did a great job and did not cry at all. The teachers were very impressed at how good of a kid she is. It was fun to hear since we already know that.

The day before her first day I revealed her backpack to her. I had been hiding it b/c I did not want it to get dirty before school started. Once she saw it she did not want to take it off. It is her new favorite bag and how could it not be.

Giving her new bag a test run.

Emma wanted to be part of the fun, too.

My adorable school girls.

The morning of her first day. Can't believe she is about to be 2. So grown up!

At school and very distracted by all the people.

Walking to class.

Big sister got to help take her.

My little collage.

I am so proud of Abby and she just had the greatest time. Hope the whole year goes well for her. I love that she has the same teachers that Emma had when she went there. It makes a huge difference in my comfort level. I was sad to not have my little buddy today but I did enjoy some quiet time.

Butler Park

On Saturday we took the girls down to Butler Park to play in the fountain. Emma has always loved this place and I just knew she was going to have a blast. I was worried about Abby b/c she does not care for sprinkler parks. In the end, Abby had mixed reviews about the place. She enjoyed the outskirts of the fountain.

Emma going right in for the fun.

Thinking about it.

Running away from the water.

Having her friend Elle there helped her get slightly wet.

Running under the water was very exciting.

Playing some soccer to help dry off.

Abby's Open House

Today, Abby got to go see her new school, play in her classroom, and meet her teachers. She was very excited about the idea of going to school. When we got there all she wanted was the playground but we told her that we needed to meet her teachers first. She was shy when came to meeting them but instantly took to all the toys. Besides the toys, she loved the playground. I am hoping she will have a good time next Tuesday but I won't be surprised if a few tears are shed. I will have to hide mine from her.

On the bench outside of school.

On her way to see her classroom.

Enjoying some toys.

Loving the playground.

Emma's 1st Day of School

Emma had her first day of preschool today. She was super excited to start school and had a fabulous day. She was excited to see her old friends and make some new ones. According to Emma her new best friend is Olivia. I will be curious to see how her social skills develop this year, since that is a goal of hers. We are so proud of her for jumping right in today and having a great day.

Before we left the house we had to take some pictures. This is her making a silly face b/c she was tired of me taking pictures.

My beautiful girl.

Abby needed to be in a picture. Not really sure what they were doing but they felt the need to squat.

At school and ready to go have fun.

I tempted an Instagram collage.

Hope this year goes slowly because I am not ready for Kindergarten.

Gearing Up

Emma had her open house on Thursday night and she is so excited to be back in school. She will have her same teachers from last year and few returning friends. Monday morning should be a great day for her!

This little lady is wanting to be in the same class as her big sister.

34 Weeks

Today I had my 34 week appointment. Nothing major going on. Baby is growing nicely and is on target. I on the other hand have not gained any weight since my last appointment. Not really sure how that is possible, especially considering all the dessert I eat. I think the best part of the appointment is how in my chart it is marked that I have "rapid labor." Hope this baby does not disappoint.

We are slowly but surely getting things ready for this baby. We just got a new car seat for the baby, thanks Gammie and Papa!! The Ergo and a stroller for the car seat have been ordered. I just need to get a boy and girl baby book and a going home outfit. I love the clothes shopping! Oh, and probably the most important thing is we need to have a name. We have the first names but just need a middle. Hard to believe how real this is getting.

Me and my 34 week bump.

Catalog Shopping

Someone enjoys flipping through the catalogs.
