Last Friday we took a field trip with our neighbors to Pioneer Farms. The place is set up to be a living history museum. Everyone on the farms dresses the part and you are able to learn what it was like to live on a farm in the 1800s. The girls enjoyed it at first but between the walking and heat they were done half way through. I would love to go back when the weather is cooler because I think the kids would take to it better. If you ask them what they liked about the day they will tell you it was riding in my neighbors minivan and watching a movie. I guess I need to upgrade the interior of my car.
The sibling picture attempt.
A picture of the ladies.
Chatting on the front porch.
Checking out the buggy.
Looking in on one of the rooms. Most rooms were roped off but when no one was looking Emma would sneak under the rope.
Cooking in the outdoor kitchen.
Barn animal time. First up were the cows.
Some bunnies. Abby's favorite.
The blacksmith was busy making arrowheads.
The donkeys.
The 300 pound pig. If you got too close she would shake mud on you.
And we are done. The kids were beyond hot and tired.
