Emma's Class Party

Today Emma's class had their holiday party. We had a great time going and watching her sing songs and interact with her classmates. Emma has grown so much since she has started this class. She really enjoys the structure and all the activities. Oh and she cannot get enough of her friends. Every night she does a roll call of all her buddies.

To start the party off, the kids sang Jingle Bells and Rudolf the Red Nose Reindeer.

Emma admiring the Jingle Bells.

Emma decided to conduct the class.

After enjoying some snacks, we had a scavenger hunt to find all the special holiday crafts Emma made. By the end of the scavenger hunt, Emma left me to do all the work.

What to do?!

This is now what Emma does during her "nap time." Her room is already looking bare b/c I cannot trust her with all the cute things like her mirror and wall decor. We even have to hide the diapers and wipes b/c she will take all of them out of the box. The kid is like a tornado. So now I am wondering, what do I do with all her clothes? I could use hangers but I would probably run out of closet space. Andy suggested turning the dresser around but um hello I would never be able to get into it. Oh this child, she just keeps us on our toes with a big smile.

Abby Unhappy

Lately Abby has been fussy and I keep saying that Abby is unhappy. Emma then repeats what I say and it is very cute. The reason my little lady has been unhappy is b/c she is already cutting her first tooth! Yes you read that correctly. At the young age of 3 months, Abby's first bottom tooth is starting to poke through. It is very hard to see but easy to feel. I was shocked when I felt it one day and sure enough when I looked in her mouth there was a small white spot. I swear this child came out older than she is. I really do not think she was ever a newborn.

Tis the Season

For tree trimming and Santa!!

Emma playing with a Santa nutcracker.

Emma hanging an ornament.

Me and Emma hanging ornaments together. She thought it was fun for the first 5 minutes and then she was bored and moved on. Guess who was left to do it?

Andy and Abby helped out but as you can see Abby was not into it at all.

The final product. My mom said it looked bare but I reminded her that I have a kid who takes off the ornaments and plays with them. That means no ornaments that require hooks and no ornaments that can break.

We went and met up with Santa at our neighborhood party. Emma was not happy to be left to sit on the old man's lap.

So we tried a group shot instead with our sleeping baby.

Happy Hanukkah

Over the past eight nights we have been celebrating Hanukkah. It was tons of fun this year b/c Emma truly caught on to the celebration. She enjoyed lighting her menorah, reading Hanukkah books, eating chocolate gelt, and opening presents. After the first night, when Emma learned she was getting presents, it was the first thing she asked for after lighting the menorah each night. She truly enjoyed unwrapping!

Here are some pics from the past 8 nights.

The first night.

Giving kisses!

Hey, I am not a basketball!

Emma enjoying her chocolate.

When lighting the candles you are suppose to wear your shoes. Emma had on footed pajamas so it was hard fitting her feet into her shoes. What a stylish look!

Emma loved lighting her menorah every night with Andy.

Saturday Playdate

Our good friends Mya, Brandy, and Ryder were in town for a few days from NYC so we decided to have a playdate for the kids. We had a blast catching up with everyone. Now that Emma is in school 5 days a week it is hard seeing our friends, so this was a great opportunity to see our buddies.

Our attempt at a group shot. The kids were not on board with our idea but it was fun trying to get all of them to look our way.
From the left we have Mya, Kenzie, Leili, and Emma.

Abby joined in on the fun too. She loved watching the girls play.
