Ear Tubes

We went early this morning for Emma's ear tube surgery and it was a quick success! Thank goodness!! When we arrived we met other kiddos getting the same thing done. That helped put me at ease. While we were waiting for the surgery we discovered Emma was running a fever. Poor baby =( But right after the surgery the fever was gone. The doctor said it was due to a blister forming in her left ear. Emma is back to her normal self so we are very thankful =)

Emma before the surgery. Not to happy she has a fever.

Emma right after the surgery. She was completely passed out for a moment.

Emma back at home and happy. It think the breakfast tacos from Rudy's helped. Thanks grandma!
(The reason for the tissue around her neck is to catch the blood dripping from her ears. It is normal so no worries.)

Busy Beaver

Emma has been on the go this week!

On Monday we got accepted into a Mother's Day Out program that I was really wanting. Emma got the last spot available. Yippee!!

On Tuesday we went to our neighbor's house for a playdate. We had a great time and Emma enjoyed watching the older kiddos walk around. I think it is encouraging her to move more. All she wanted to do was walk around at the playdate and she did not care whose fingers she was holding on to.

Tomorrow we are scheduled to have her ear tube surgery. Please keep Emma in your prayers. We hope that everything goes smoothly. I will update the blog tomorrow after the surgery.

In loving memory of Papa Solomon

A week ago we lost our precious Papa Solomon. This past week we have been in New Jersey remembering him and celebrating his wonderdul life. He was blessed with a loving wife, three children, eight grandchildren, and one great grandchild. Golf was a true passion along with a nice glass of scotch. Cheers to you Papa!
Emma and I did not know Papa very long but it was a true honor to be a part of his life. Our loving memories will be with us forever and he will truly be missed. Toodaloo Papa, toodaloo.

I like to move it, move it!

Ever since we went to Colorado Emma has been more interested in moving. I guess she saw how much fun her cousin Kate was having that Emma realized I need to jump on that wagon!

Emma and her little red push wagon. Oh what fun!

Emma climbing the stairs. She tried very hard to do this at Kate's house but she could only get up a few steps. Now she can climb them all! I guess we should invest in a gate.

Umm...

Sorry I have not been good about posting lately. Since we have gotten back from Colorado things have been pretty quiet. Emma enjoyed some playdates last week. So that was nice to catch up with friends. Emma also enjoyed a long afternoon with her grandparents. I think she is learning how to get out of her naps when she is away from home. She tricked her grandparents into only having a one hour nap for the whole day. She is a silly girl. Don't let that cute face fool you!
