Life is Good!

I just want to share with everyone how happy I am to have my little Emma. After watching Oprah the other day and crying my eyes out over all the miracle babies she talked about I just hugged Emma so tightly and thanked God for blessing me with her. She is my miracle! Even though we have had a tough start I could not imagine it any other way. So with all that said life is good!

Dress Up!

Yesterday we had the group over for some costume fun. All the kids looked so adorable in their Halloween costumes. We enjoyed having playtime and Halloween treats.

The group photo. Always a fun challenge =)

Annie telling Emma it will be ok. Just smile and then it will be over.

Fun Filled Weekend!

We had a busy weekend between our community fall festival and Emma's friend Annie's 1st birthday party. Each party was filled with good times. Emma was worn out by the end of the weekend.

Emma trying to be a cowboy. I do not think she cared for the sun in her eyes. Where is that cowboy hat to protect her eyes?

Emma all bundled up to go on a morning run. She is such a trooper to put up with it. Thank you Emma!

Running Through Sprinklers

Now I did not create my blog to be a platform for my frustrations but today I must vent. While going on my morning run with Emma I noticed that tons of people were running their spinklers. I have nothing against spinkler systems, I mean we have one but people seem to be spraying their water onto my running path. Now I do not mind running through a sprinkler but I do mind my daughter getting wet and trying to navigate a big running stroller around it. People it is not easy. Oh well it will not keep me from running.
I did add a new song onto the blog b/c I think it is a great inspirational song. Melissa Etheridge wrote this song while she battled breast cancer. I do not believe it is just about cancer. I believe it is about anyone who has ever had to battle their way to stay alive. It reminds me of why I run. I run for my daughter, who was born with a failing heart and survived bypass heart surgery. I run for my grandmother who lost her life to cancer. I run for my other grandmother who is continuing to beat the odds against ovarian cancer. I run for my bestfriend's Mimi who is kicking breast cancer in the butt. So if you need motivation today then listen to this song.
Peace out everyone and enjoy this day and everyday =)

Happy Birthday Elizabeth!

Today is one of Emma's favorite auntie's birthday. So in honor of auntie Elizabeth, Emma is sporting her Bon Jovi outfit that she received from Elizabeth. Elizabeth cannot wait until she can take Emma to a concert and they can rock out together. "Shot to the heart and your to blame. Baby you give love a bad name." That is the only lyric I know. Please don't hate my Liz.
