Our Thanksgiving Break

We had a fabulous week enjoying our break and spending quality time together as a family. It is nice to slow down once in awhile and refocus.

We started the week off with cold weather and that meant snuggling and a movie.  

The girls were in need of haircuts.

We headed to the library for story time and a craft.

Abby had was given the freedom to dress herself.

We checked out the annual Children's Parade. It was awesome as always.

After the parade, we played on the grounds of the Capital.

To end it all we had a pizza party with our good friends. We are going to miss them in the neighborhood when they move.

Happy Thanksgivukkah

Thanksgiving and Hanukkah fell on the same day this year and it won't happen again for 70,000 years. We enjoyed this special day with our cute turkeys and my wonderful parents. We are very blessed!

Weekend Road Trip

We had our first weekend away from the kids. I was crazy nervous but so happy I didn't let that keep me from going. We had a great time traveling to Louisiana with our friends to enjoy the LSU game. It was great to build wonderful memories and share in crazy and silly moments. Could not ask for more fun with a great group.

Less Blogging, More Instagram

I have definitely been doing a lot less blogging recently. I still love the blog and want to keep it up b/c it holds many of our memories. Hopefully, I can be better at it but sometimes life is so busy. I have been taking photos with Instagram and am loving it. Here are a bunch I have captured in the past few weeks.

Trick or Treat

We had a great time trick or treating in the neighborhood. The kids loved seeing their friends and of course getting lots of candy.

Next year I need to be better about taking pictures but it is nice to just enjoy the moment and not worry about the camera.

Abby's Preschool Fall Festival

Abby's preschool hosted a fall festival for the kiddos. I was so happy to volunteer so that I could be part of the action.
