Colorado Trip Day 5: Enjoying the Greater Outdoors

On our last full day in Colorado we headed out to my parent's rented cabin to enjoy the pool and the beautiful nature backdrop.

We miss our family like crazy and the kids are always asking to go play with their cousins. It makes our trips extra special and we look forward to our next visit. I love our summer tradition of going to Colorado and I hope it never ends but hopefully next year the weather will be cooler. =)

Colorado Trip Day 4: An Ice Cream Party

On our 4th day, Kate had her ice cream birthday party. We had a great time learning how the ice cream is made and getting to try some yummy creations.

Emma does not like ice cream but got to enjoy some cupcake and chocolate. Still can't figure out how a child of ours does not like ice cream.

This kid on the other hand could not get enough of the ice cream.

Later in the day we took the kids to see a movie. The had a blast and enjoyed endless amounts of popcorn.

Colorado Trip Day 3: Park and Pool Time

The weather in Colorado became extremely hot so we tried to squeeze in some park time before it got too hot and by that time we headed indoors to the pool.

Colorado Trip Day 2: Enjoying the Weather

Typically when we go to Colorado we look for relief from the Texas heat. Unfortunately the heat followed us. We did have one beautiful weather day and we wanted to make sure we took advantage of it. There is a wonderful park and with a train not too far from where our family lives and we decided to check it out.

The girls needed to play hide and seek in the hotel before we ventured out for the day.
