Mother's Day Love

The two beautiful girls are my true gift for Mother's Day. I love them to pieces and I always feel blessed to have their love.

I think the best part of my Mother's Day was watching these two cuties hold hands. They are really into it these days and it just makes me smile.

6 Years Later...

And I would still want to say our vows.  Happy Anniversary to my amazing husband. Loved you then and love you even more today. So blessed with the life we have created and all the chapters that are still unfolding.

Not sure how to title this post

While grocery shopping the other day, I decided to let Abby walk with me instead of being stuck in the cart. While I turned to pick something out she discovered this huge beer display. She was obsessed with it and did not want to leave. I was slightly embarrassed but really I just found it funny.

Welcome Baby Elle!

We are so excited to welcome our beautiful niece, Elle Jean Erickson, to the world. Rebecca and Elle are both doing great and everyone is excited to finally meet this precious baby. I know I can't wait until our trip to meet her! She has only been in this world for a few hours but I already can't get enough of her. She is just so cute!! Congrats to my brother and sister-in-law and of course big sister Kate and big brother Nolan.

The Good Nite Lite

For awhile now we have had a problem on getting Emma to sleep in her bed through the night. She would start off in her bed and then wake up between 10 and 11 and make her way to our room. It is a bad habit and one that we need to fix. If you try to move her back in the night or keep her door closed, she yells and screams. We don't want to risk waking Abby so we just let her get away with sleeping in our bed. My sister-in-law mentioned the Good Nite Lite and we thought we would try it out. Every night the light shines blue and Emma has to stay in the room while it is blue. When the light turns yellow she is allowed to get up and come to our room. We have gradually moved the time back every night and provided her with a sticker chart. Once she filled the chart she got a reward of her choice. She filled her first chart and chose to go bowling. We all had a blast at bowling and we are hoping to continue to make progress with Emma.

Our First Concert

This past Saturday Lake Travis held a festival that was featuring two of my favorite musicians, Bruce Robison and Kelly Willis. They just happened to be married and put on a great show together. I really wanted to see them and was slightly nervous to attempt the live show with the kids. Thankfully it was outdoors and ended at 7. Besides the concert, the festival had many other activities for kids including an appearance by Elmo. We had a great time and the kids loved the live music.

We had dinner at burger place before the concert and this was Abby's excited for a chocolate milkshake face.
