The second day in Disneyland we went to California Adventure Park. The girls were very excited to meet all the princesses over in Ariel's Grotto at a very special breakfast. That morning we got the girl's all dressed up in their princess costumes: Emma was dressed as Ariel and Abby was dressed as Rapunzel.
Making our way to Ariel's Grotto.
Disneyland isn't just for the kids!

Princess Abby is ready for her royal breakfast.

Emma and Abby's favorite princess is Ariel.
We got each of the characters we saw at the park to
sign autograph books for the girls.
Emma was looking forward to meeting Ariel for weeks.
This was her big moment, and it was great to see how
happy she was.
The next princess to meet was Cinderella.
Each time a new princess was announced Emma
would jump out of her seat and run up to them,
since we were lucky enough to be seated at the
first table for them to visit.
A hug from Sleeping Beauty.
Emma knows her special name is Princess Aurora.
Next we met Belle from Beauty and the Beast.
Abby wanted to meet her too but then wasn't so sure.
The last princess we met was Snow White.
After our special breakfast we went outside to
check out the rest of the park.
Rapunzel is trapped again! Oh no.
Actually she's just checking out the fish in the stream.
This section of the park was an outdoor
nature area with fun tree slides, nets to climb in,
rope swings, and bridges over streams.
Emma had already gone on the horse carousel the day before,
but as soon as she heard they had a sea creatures carousel we had
to make our way there.
Emma giving a hug to Lightning McQueen!
Emma is obsessed with the movie Cars, so
seeing Lightning McQueen and Mater was
very cool. They are in the process of building
a whole new section of California Adventure Park dedicated
to Cars, but it won't be ready until summertime.

Emma was thrilled with Disneyland.
Here is a group shot of the family with Rapunzel.
That night we had tickets to "World of Color", which is a special
event that takes place in Ariel's Grotto at night. It is a laser light
show where they have colors, music, images of Disney cartoons projected
on the water, and they even had jets of fire shooting up into the air at times.
Unfortunately, "World of Color" doesn't begin until 8:15pm PST, which is
10:15pm our time. Emma fell asleep in the stroller at 7:30, and Abby lasted
until 7:45, but we were already in place to watch the show so we stayed.
