Emma's Class Party

Emma's class had their holiday party on Friday. Emma enjoyed having a pizza party and some fun activities. She also loved wearing her pajamas to school.

The first activity was cookie decorating. Emma liked spreading on frosting and putting on sprinkles. She did not how ever like eating the cookie. I think frosting is a big turn off for her.

Abby needed a little cookie, too.

The next activity was a book exchange. The kids passed books to their neighbors while music played. When the music ended you got the book you were holding.

Abby loved these little chairs. The classroom was a very exciting place for her.

The last activity was a reindeer dance. Emma was so cute participating in it.

Cookies with Santa & Mrs. Claus

Over the weekend we took the kids to have cookies with Santa and Mrs. Claus. The kids had a great time at the event, except when it came time for Abby to meet Santa.

Emma and Santa.
Abby did not like Santa. She screamed the whole time.
Abby felt much better when it came time for the cookies.
Her first bite of awesomeness.

Emma loved her candy cane.

The girls meeting Mrs. Claus. For some reason they were not a fan. Abby was on the verge of another meltdown.
The cookie made everything better.
Emma wanted to feed Abby a marshmallow but Abby was not interested.
Emma ate it instead.
Back to the cookie.
After cookies, there was an ornament craft. The kids had fun making their Santa ornament.
Andy was a big help for Abby.

Emma taking the ornament making very seriously.
Mrs. Claus read the kids a story.
Last, we sung carols and Abby decided to dance to a song.

Baby Bumper Gymnastics

For the past six weeks, Abby has been taking a baby bumper gymnastics class. Abby had a blast playing on all the equipment and running around. I loved that she got to burn off some energy and work on her gross motor skills.

Doing some squats.
Climbing up the ramp.
She was obsessed with this slide.
Attempting the ladder.
She was also obsessed with this rocking horse.
Not the greatest shot but I was trying capture her holding onto the bar. This was mid-release.
The trampoline was a favorite.

Can't wait to do more gymnastics with this little lady!

O' Christmas Tree

We recently went and picked out our Christmas tree for the season. The girls had a blast looking at all the trees. Emma loved being able to pick out our tree. She was determined to have a particular one.

After we got it home and let the branches fall a bit, the girls helped me decorate it. I think Emma did a great job helping. Abby was more interested in taking all the ornaments off.

The mantle. I am so excited that we all have monogrammed stockings this year.
Now we just need to fill it up with presents.

Happy 15 Months Abigail Marian

Our sweet little lady is 15 months! She has really grown since she turned one. At times it seems like she is a teenager stuck in a baby's body. She is very good at communicating what she wants with either saying "I want that," "YEAH," or "NO". Her and Emma love to go back and forth yelling no. They get the biggest kick out of that.

Abby also loves to read and I mean loves to read. She pulls every book off the shelf and flips through them. She could do it for hours at a time.

She is really into Emma. Loves to know what Emma is doing and wants to be her buddy. I love watching them attempt to play together and give hugs.

Has become a picky eater. She loves bananas, pears, yogurt, milk, cheese, goldfish, and puffs. We are needing to cut back on the dairy b/c her doctor said she getting more than enough.

Loves her little kitty cat and monkey. She takes one of them everywhere she goes.

Is a girl on the move. She never slows down! Loves to explore and be apart of the action.

Enjoys music. Loves to dance to it and sing certain songs like Wheels on the Bus.

Abby is just a little cutie-pa-tootie. We love her so much!! I wish she could stay this little forever.

Abigail's 15 month stats:

Weight: 23lbs (60%)
Height: 31 1/4 inches (70%)
Head: 47 1/2 cm (90%)

Tree Lighting

Our town recently held its holiday tree lighting. It had been raining all day so we were not sure if we would go. The rain finally stopped and we decided to just go and deal with the wet ground. The girls loved seeing the heritage tree light up. They also enjoyed riding in a carriage ride and meeting Santa. We did not take many pictures because we were trying to keep the kids from getting dirty in the mud. Even though we tried our best the stay out of the mud, Emma did trip in it and Abby sat in a puddle. Needless to say we were all a mess but it was worth it.

Sympathy

In recent days Emma has been acting out and having difficulty following directions. Her speech therapist at school says she has found the power of her voice. Since sweet little Emma has found the power of her voice she has also found consequences that come along with misbehaving. She was recently having a time out on the stairs and Abby felt the need to keep her company. Abby was determined to stay with Emma and help her through her time out.
