Vail Vacation Day 3: Soccer and the Gondola

Day 3 of our vacation was filled with more adventures, including checking out the Betty Ford park and going to the top of the mountain.

We started our morning off at a soccer tournament and then playing and having lunch at Betty Ford park. The kids loved playing and enjoying the fresh air. Andy enjoyed watching the soccer games. Emma wanted to play in the games but she was too young. Thankfully Aunt Rebecca found a pink soccer ball for her so she could do some dribbling of her own.

Sweet little Abby enjoying lunch at the park.

Emma with her new favorite ball. I must say she is really good at dribbling and shooting. I think Andy is anxious to get her signed up for soccer.

Someone is happy to be enjoying the greater outdoors.

There was a little children's garden in the park. The kids loved all the pinwheels.
Abby with the bumble bee pinwheel.

The girls wanted to do some gardening of their own. I think Gammie is rubbing off on them.
Would anyone like to look at the camera?

Later in the day we went on the Gondola to the top of the mountain for dinner, live music, and fun for the kids.

There were pony ride for the kids.
Nolan was the first to give it a go.

All the beautiful ladies.

The pink shoe ladies. The girls thought it was cute that we all had pink shoes. I was excited to find some in my size.
Dancing to the live music.
After dinner we all tried balancing on the tight rope. Let's just say the kids did way better than the adults.

Me and my little lady.

A shot of the sun setting on our way down the mountain. It was absolutely breathtaking.
A pic of Lion's Head Village on our way down. Sorry for the reflection inside the Gondola.
Day 3 was amazing! I am in love with this place and could easily spend a whole summer there. The amount of things to do seems endless. Maybe that is because you can be outside everyday unlike here in Texas.

Stay tune for day 4, our final day.

Vail Vacation Day 2: Time to be active

Everything about Vail makes it impossible to just want to sit around and do nothing. The scenery and energy of the town make you want to get up and go and that's what we did everyday.

To start off here are the views from our balcony.

While Abby had a morning nap, Emma and I did some exploring around town.

Emma loved looking out from the bridge. She enjoyed looking at the creek and Gondola.

We decided to take a family bike tour through the villages of Vail.

The girls all buckled in and ready to go.

We stopped at Pirate Ship park and played a bit.

Later in the day we met up with my family that drove in that day. We were very excited to see my parents, my brother and sister and law, and of course the kids.

Emma and Kate wanted to hold hands on the way to dinner.
The kids wanted to run around on the lawn.

Our beautiful Abby. She did a great job in the baby carrier.

The gang on the way to dinner.

The kids were obsessed with riding the escalator. It was nonstop entertainment for them.

The kids had a great time playing at dinner. It was a nice way to end our day.
Loved our second day in Vail. Full of great activities.

Stay tune for day 3!

Vail Vacation Day 1: Our Arrival

We had a fabulous trip in Vail and I have decided to do a blogpost on each day we were there. Our first day was mainly travel. We arrived in Denver in the afternoon and then had a three hour car drive to Vail. It was a beautiful drive filled with mountains and rivers. I just could not get enough of the view.

A view from the top of Vail. In the distance is Holy Cross Mountain.

On our first night, there was a jazz festival happening in the village. Emma loved watching the military jazz group.

We ate at a local institution called, Blue Moose Pizza. Emma wanted to pet the moose.

After dinner we walked around to check out the village.

Right outside our condo was the Gondola. Emma was in love it. She enjoyed watching the "boxes" go up and down the mountain.
Andy and Emma by the large creek. It was such a beautiful sight.
More posts to come on our lovely vacation. I am sure I will mention it a million times but I absolutely love Vail! I truly hope we have more Vail vacations in our future.
