Anniversary Celebration

Andy and I had a great time celebrating our anniversary. My parents took the kids for the day so that we could enjoy some fun activities. We spent our day downtown taking in the great outdoors. It was such a beautiful day and a great way to spend our anniversary. It reminds me of all the activities we loved to do when it was just us. I am hoping we can do the kayaking more often. It truly is one of my favorite things to do.

We've got our paddles and life jackets and are ready to go!

Out on the kayak.

We enjoyed lunch by the water with a view of the city.

I made it all the way to Amarillo by foot. It was a long walk.

Andy being silly and rolling down the hill. Truthfully, I dared him to do it.

We ended the evening with dinner at our favorite restaurant, Sullivan's. It was so yummy!

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day! I had a great day with my family and was spoiled with love from my little ones.

Emma made some cute gifts for me at school.

A card that said she loved taking walks with me and Abby.

A picture Emma drew of her family.

And a very stylish bracelet.

Abby gave me her imprint of her foot and hand.

Abby's favorite part was playing with the tissue paper.

Now I have a matching set. Andy did this with Emma when she was a baby and then he had Abby's done. I love it!!

Happy 8 Months Abigail Marian

I must say that was a very fast month. I blinked and the next thing I knew Abby turned 8 months old. She is a little lady full of personality, smiles, and showing off her electric blue eyes.
She is a busy girl and wants to be active at all times of the day. We love our sweet Abbylicious!

What Miss Abigail is doing at 8 months:

-Eating between 4 and 5 bottles a day and taking about two full jars of food a day.
-Loves most purees, except green beans. We are still staying away from gluten b/c she has a tendency to throw up if she eats it.
-Wearing 9 month clothes and a size three diaper.
-We think she weighs around 20 lbs. (according to my parent's scale).
-Loves to grab at whatever she can, and if something is out of reach she will stretch that little body to get it.
-Everything seems to go into her mouth so we have to be extra careful with what is around her.
-Emma and her love to take each others toys.
-Loves to be a book thief. If you are reading a book she wants to take it away and eat it.
-Enjoys drumming on the table or a pillow.
-Wants to be part of the group at all times.
-Claps her toys together.
-Can make the sign for "more" but we don't think she knows what is means, yet.
-Is learning to wave.
-Can role over from front to back.
-Hates tummy time but is thankful she can get out of it with her rolling.
-Still goes to P.T. once a week to help her neck and shoulders get stronger.
-Loves to be rocked to sleep at night by her daddy.
-Takes 2 naps a day and goes to bed around 7.
-Loves to smile at everyone.
-Enjoys being loud and making lots of noises.
-Loves to play peek-a-boo, especially when she gets her diaper changed.
-Curious about everything.
-A sweet, easy going, loving baby.

Here are some pictures of her on her 8 month birthday. She was refusing to smile for me. I think she was wondering why she had to sit in a chair with nothing to do.

Finally a smile!

Flashback

Way back in the day, before I was blogging, I put some videos up on Google Video. Well Google just informed me that if I did not upload my videos to youtube, they would be deleted. So I thought I would share some old videos of Emma as a baby.

I love this video. It was the first time she laughed. So precious!

Emma used to growl all the time. We were trying to get her to make the "m" sound.

Electric Blue

A few weeks ago, my friend Kristen G. commented on how Abby's eye are electric blue. I loved hearing that and now every time I look at Abby's beautiful eyes that is what I think. I feel the camera just does not capture how blue her eyes really are, but I tried my best.
